An interesting company policy:
A company employs 20 staff and has an annual turn over of $9 million. It is very successful and even after overheads the two owners take home over $3000 a day each.
The owners have simple needs and so on outright buying a property each in which to live they decided to take a much lower income each to cover their basic daily requirements. They then, for a year, allowed their next most senior staff after them to have their old wage for a year, and so on to the next year when the next in line took the high wage. In 20 years even the most junior staff, who had now grown in seniority, were secure in home and finance and now new staff were standing in line waiting the big year ahead.
This never happened.
A farm grew enough food for 1000's and employed 100's. They decided to not only feed their staff but give each member of staff ... this never happened either...
It is quickly obvious that certain scenarios are unreal as they go so greatly against the common norm.
A country of great wealth and power decided to put away all of their arms spending and protect themselves instead by altruistic behavior, so being target to no one. They farmed and manufactured and lived by simple means and so they exported their surpluses, for free, to those with nothing. In time the living quality for billions over the globe was raised by people with a lot who lived happily on a little. Nice eh?
Never happened.
