Daily Tao - Your Path i To I

All wisdom and all answers are within you. In the end it is you who decides that something fits or does not. At times things may not appear to fit and may appear false, at times the opposite, and in both cases the situation can flip: seemingly useless becomes perfect wisdom, perfect ideas can also crumble.

Around the time your body was born, it was given a name. You know you can change your name, you are not the name. You are also not the body. That was a construct. You are the self alone. I am. The mind is the tool you used for most of your life. On seeing it limited as it is you took to looking behind the veil and looking with no mind brought about its own issues.

Now you have seen yourself. A body in space and a mind in time are your instruments. Life is your ocean. Consciousness is your space and Awareness is your universe self.

Daily Tao - Substance to Illusion

Subject - Sub is under the projection.

Object - Ob is in opposition or relation to the projection.

Let us take the projection as the mind. Subject is under the influence of the mind. and Objects are relative things appearing to the mind.

To move beyond the projection then would be to see ourself as the light. That which is pure and untainted. Instead of focusing on the projection and giving substance to the illusion.

Drop the desire for enlightenment and then you are "not-I" and you regain your original face.

Anyone seeking enlightenment is of course not enlightened. Nor could anyone ever be enlightened, as on enlightenment, there is no I.

"I seeking enlightenment" is bound.

"Enlightened" is no-I, free.

So drop the idea you could ever achieve, as that achiever is not even possibly real. Drop the idea of an achieving entity so there is no longer a desirer; and then you reach the non-I, and there is enlightenment...

Daily Tao - Discount To See the Best in the World

At many times the language used will appear to say you must discount the world. This is both necessary and unfortunate. It is necessary as language is limited and there is a desire to encourage the seeker to go beyond the mind, it is often necessary to seem to discount the world.

It is unfortunate, however, as the world is just this, it is a wonder and a delight, your playground; so it is unfortunate that the seeker is asked to discount it at times, but as said, necessary.

All false has root in the true. False comes and goes and changes, so is false, truth is ever the same. So the world, seen as is, is a delight and even though it fits the definition of the false due to its transience, it is rooted in truth. When it is seen from truth, it is magical.

So the efforts to discount it have high value.

Daily Tao - From Self Consciousness to Self Knowledge

'I am' is the intensified self consciousness. Run to its climax, self consciousness ends in self knowledge.

This trick is deliberately and necessarily beyond the mind and logic.

When self consciousness has become so intense and self knowledge is born, the inner 'i' self is burned and replaced with the true 'I'. This is unable to be self conscious and it is not an intense spot in a person, it is an infinite I, absent of space, place, time, idea.
