It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.This is a point showcased over and over again in this series to date. God is very partial. If you don't follow his dictates exactly, he becomes upset and may cause things -- bad things -- to happen to you.

Tao, on the other hand, is impartial. All forms are subject to the laws and processes of the cosmos. Tao doesn't earmark a special dispensation for anyone -- good or bad.
