In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.This verse offers yet another example of God sounding like a jilted lover! Jeez! You would think that this fellow could get a better handle on his emotions.

Worship what you want or don't worship anything. In the overall scheme of things, who can say that it really matters?
