Truly: what more tyrannical power is there than for a government to target its own citizens for death — in total secrecy and with no checks — and then insist on the right to do so without even having to explain its legal and factual rationale for what it is doing? Could you even imagine what the U.S. Government and its media supporters would be saying about any other non-client-state country that asserted and exercised this power?

It seems that when anyone has the temerity to suggest the US is moving closer and closer to the definition of a fascist state, the boo birds come out. Anyone who would suggest such a thing must be a conspiracy theorist and/or a nut. The US is a representative democracy; everyone KNOWS that.

As Greenwald has shown time and time again, democracy is on the wane in this nation. While Americans still enjoy certain freedoms, tyranny is creeping into so many spheres of life. Secretly killing your own citizens without any due process is about as draconian as it gets!
