Nothing More Than Little Sparks

As many regular readers have probably noticed, I'm struggling to work my way through the Book of Isaiah as part of the Tao Bible series. It's just that these books in the Old Testament repeat the same stuff over and over and over again. It gets really tedious and monotonous, particularly for a non-believer like moi.

Instead of writing a Tao Bible post tonight, I thought I would state something that, for Scott 'n me, goes without saying, but probably needs to be stated anyhow. We're just two guys who like to think and write about philosophy, especially philosophical Taoism. We're not scholars nor are we gurus.

More than anything else, what we offer you are nothing more than little sparks. We hope to spark thought and, sometimes, comment. We hope to prod you to think about ideas and notions you might not have thought about otherwise. And we hope that when a few of you leave comments, it prods the two of us to think about ideas and notions in ways we might not have considered.

That's really what this blog is all about: Trying to stretch minds -- yours AND ours.
