Tao Bible - Ecclesiastes 11:6

In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
~ King James version ~

We never know what tomorrow will bring.

For all of our planning and calculations, we never know what lies around the next bend. A person could lead a life of Supreme Virtue and yet a rock could fall from the sky to squash us. This uncertainty, however, provides no excuse for living a life apart from the Way. Embracing Tao is its own just reward.

  1. But if you are alert and skilled in living Tao, you have a better chance of dodging the rock.

  2. Very true, but that still doesn't mean the rock won't hit you! It has to do with fate/shit happening.
