Tao Bible - Ecclesiastes 3:5

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
~ King James version ~

Therefore having and not having arise together.
Difficult and easy complement each other.
Long and short contrast each other:
High and low rest upon each other;
Voice and sound harmonize each other;
Front and back follow one another.
~ from Verse 2 of the Tao Te Ching ~
It has been said that the only constant in the universe is change. The only thing a Taoist would add to this is that changes flow into another.

I often hear people say that we, as a society, need to come together. While coming together would be a great idea, we each need time apart as well. It should be remembered that too much of a good thing is just as detrimental as a bad thing.
