You Shoulder Some Responsibility

Trey Smith

Continuing on with this highly inane discussion of time and Daylight Savings, the Baroness brings up a very interesting point. In some areas of the US -- like Hawaii and certain states in the Mountain Time Zone -- the clock neither springs forward nor falls back. You folks keep chugging along per usual.

It occurs to me that those of you living in areas that do not utilize Daylight Savings Time owe something to those of us who do! Since we mysteriously lose a specific hour and you do not, you shoulder a responsibility to live that hour for us!! :-D

So, what did you do during that hour? I sincerely hope you put it to good use. I was set to uncover the fountain of youth and the ultimate strategy to end poverty and war forever, but my discoveries disappeared into this strange wormhole of time.

Hopefully, you found them and unleashed them on the world. (I will want to see your homework to insure you actually followed through.)

  2. I slept through it all: went to bed at the same time, got up at the same time. However, I will do my best to live that hour for you by enjoying a maitai on the beach as soon as this infernal monsoon we're experiencing ceases! (I'll send you the credit card receipt and a digital photo of the empty glass and paper umbrella.)
