Trey Smith
As I've stated many, many times before, I believe that time is an illusion (or what I referred to it earlier today -- a human construct). There are those who vehemently disagree with me. Most of them will grant that how we quantify it may be such a construct, but time itself exists.
If I'm ever going to be convinced of that supposition, then someone far more intelligent than me will need to explain (so that I can comprehend it) what happened this morning one second after 1:59:59 a.m.
As I sat here looking at the digital clock on my computer, the time changed from 1:59:59 a.m. to 3:00:00 a.m. It was as if 2:00:00 - 2:59:59 a.m. never existed. So, where did it go?
If time is some sort of thingy that exists independent of the human mind, where is that hour? I know that I personally didn't have the opportunity to experience it. I was sitting here on the cusp of it and then it vanished into thin air.
I took that hour from you. I do apologize; I needed it desperately for something that shouldn't concern you. I'll return it to you in November.

Well, since you put it that way, okay. ;-)
