Tao Bible - Proverbs 21:17

He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.
~ King James version ~

There is nothing wrong with enjoying the pleasures of life as long as you don't overdo it.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
For fundamentalist Christians, almost any carnal pleasure is viewed as a "sin of the flesh." By making so many things off-limits, they become ever more desirable.

For Taoists, the key to life is moderation. It's okay to have fun provided you aren't injuring yourself or others. But pleasure must be balanced with work and responsibility.
