At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.Both the biblical writers and the Taoist sages make use of the innocence of infants to make a point. In our arrogance and pomposity, we too often lose sight of the interconnection of all things. We are born to the truth and we lose it as we "mature."
