Line by Line - Verse 73, Line 3

Of these two cases the one appears to be advantageous, and the other to be injurious.
~ James Legge translation, from The Sacred Books of the East, 1891 ~

Of these two which is good and which is harmful?
~ Gia-fu Feng and Jane English translation, published by Vintage Books, 1989 ~

Of these two, one may benefit, the other may harm
~ Derek Lin translation, from Tao Te Ching: Annotated & Explained, published by SkyLight Paths, 2006 ~

So -- what do you want to do?
~ Ron Hogan rendition, from Beatrice.com, 2004 ~
