So little of the dreadful past treatment of the Aboriginal has been acknowledged here in Australia. Most of us have no idea. It's been conveniently swept under the carpet and is only now starting to be more widely known.
It is an honour to see them begin to make a gradual comeback. They are generally a kind and accepting people. When I think of what they've put up with from the white man, it's a wonder we're not all being murdered in our beds.

For much of America, the plight of the American Indians has been swept under the same carpet!
