Tao Bible - Genesis 1:5

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
~ King James version ~

And humankind gave names to the myriad things.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
Because Tao isn't an it, Tao names nothing. Language is an invention of advanced sentient beings. We humans use it to signify and classify things. We utilize language to differentiate between what we perceive as the distinctions or manifestations of the underlying force or process of the cosmos.

From the standpoint of Tao -- IF Tao had a standpoint -- all substance and non-substance is part and parcel of the tapestry of life. In a manner of speaking, it could be said that all the manifestations are part of the process of existence; everything is everything.

  2. Hi Ta Wan. The circle of the symbol has no beginning, no end. Where the Dark half meets the "white" half there is an S-shape, a line with no contours. This is the way throug existence. It meet so gently the circle, which is It or nothing. The way has no beginning, no end. The small circles is of course the fact that nothing can be without something. Maybe. Just my reflection. What do you say? /Jo Kim
