Number Thirty-Five
Seek the man of Tao
you will not find him.
His steps leave no trace,
you cannot track him.
His lips proclaim no doctrine,
you will not hear him.
He gathers no following,
you will hear nothing of him.
Yet were you to succeed
he would but turn you about
and bid you find your own way.
