Wen Tzu - Verse 130

from Verse One Hundred Thirty
If you live in the hinterlands but your heart is in the capital, then you take life seriously. If you take life seriously, then take profit lightly. If you still cannot conquer yourself, then go along with your heart, and your spirit will not suffer harm.
~ Wen-tzu: Understanding the Mysteries ~
By heart, I do not think Lao Tzu is talking about our heart's desires. Each of us knows the path to follow, if we would only look and listen. Since the Way is part of our fundamental constitution, the path is marked out for us. The question we each must ourselves is: Will I walk it?
