Odd Search Strings

If you have tracking software as I do, it's often interesting -- and quite hilarious -- to view the search strings that bring a visitor to one's blog. Since this site focuses on philosophical Taoism, it's not surprising that a significant number of new visitors arrive here via a search for "taoist blogs", "taoism blogs" or "Taoism".

A secondary focus of TRT is Asperger's Syndrome and several people have arrived via this route. I also mix in discussions of religion, politics, economics, health care, the environment and social commentary. Consequently, any search string remotely related to any of the above topics is not surprising.

On occasion, however, some of the search strings are downright daffy and makes me wonder why on earth Google, Yahoo, Bing, or whatever search engine pointed folks this direction. Because I have a penchant for paying attention to odd things, I actually write these things down! So, from time to time, I thought I'd share them with you if, for no other reason, then to provide a good laugh or a pleasant smile.

So, here are the wacky search strings I've noted over the past few weeks.
  • what are the 2 famous calamaties experienced in the philippines (2000-present) that were caused by some kinds of water form/land form
  • Nakedness on Spring River in Arkansas
  • Stamp on wrong place on envelope
  • SOS searchers wow wow baby
  • townhouse falling in Ouachita River
  • "just for the halibut" funny
  • foreign authors of thesis related to self-confidence of a burn patient
  • irrational fear of fleas
  • why ssa wrong birth date
