It seems like every month a new allegation is brought forth re the financial behemoths being involved in price-fixing, other forms of collusion or insider trading. Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone has written about the latest allegations.
The upshot of all these reports is that I now better understand what the elites mean by the term, the free market. They want to be free to gouge and manipulate the rest of us at will! They want to be free to lie, cheat and steal! Most importantly, they don't want to be held responsible for ANY of this behavior.
The sad part is that, by and large, our representatives in government -- particularly in the US of A -- have decided NOT to hold them accountable. The rest of us are held accountable for a myriad of things, even trivial ones. But not the elite. They can commit the most dastardly deeds imaginable and come out smelling like a rose time and time again!!
