We just completed the 36-hour period of Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. This holiday supposedly is about love, caring and family. While I am sure that many, many families embodied these concepts as they gathered together on Monday and Tuesday, the world continued on as normal for others. In the US, "normal" is gun violence and this past 36-hour period was no different.
As I have done before and may well repeat again, here is a brief sampling of headlines regarding shootings from around the nation. In some instances, the victims died. In others, the victims were injured or simply frightened beyond belief.

by some stretch of the imagination the other killers could have used other methods. it is hard to prove that the baby could have been accidentally shot if guns did not exist.
