In the video below, Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks makes a point I wholeheartedly agree with!

On his televised version of The Young Turks (Current TV), Uygur pointed out last night that after 9/11 no one suggested that we shouldn't talk about the possible causes of THAT tragedy. In fact, it was the precise opposite. That's all the public and our elected leaders talked about for days and weeks. Hell, our leaders still talk about it today.

So, why is it that we are told that shouldn't talk about gun control in the aftermath of yet another horrendous mass shooting? Uygur, of course, provides the answer. The gun lobby and gun manufacturers don't want to have the discussion because they don't want to take the chance that there might be wholesale changes...unless those changes involve loosening gun laws even more! Hey, they're willing for anyone to talk about that any time they like, even now!!!
