Walking A Lonely Road

Trey Smith

While it is true that you must pursue truth with no thought of gain, you must, sadly enough, also pursue truth with little thought of support.
~ from Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony by Deng Ming-Dao ~
It is important to share our lives with those we love. A life not shared truly is a life not lived to its fullest. And yet, when it comes to finding our own path, no one else can light the way. We must find our own path or paths on our own.

While the path we walk indeed may be lonely, I don't think that is the same thing as sadness. We come into this world alone and that is the way we shall leave it. That's not a reason for sorrow or joy; it's just the way it is.
