So much for the drought! After experiencing a very uncharacteristic late summer - early autumn dry spell which saw no measurable rainfall for 31 days, we're making up for it today (nearly 2.00" thus far).
It just goes to show that Mother Nature has her way of evening things out. Our climate on the southwest Washington coast is predicated on rain and, even during an extended lack thereof, we tend to be able to catch up in a hurry.
Not only have we experienced buckets of rain today, but we're set to receive buckets more over the next three days. After that, forecasters have indicated it may turn dry again. (I hope it is relatively dry from Thursday - Saturday as my dad and step-mother will be here for a visit!)
