Daily Tao - Half Circle

All of your life, north was north and the compass pointed north.

One day, all that you ever thought you knew was turned inside out and the compass pointed south. The way you saw things, the way you saw others, the idea of self, was flipped with such a jerk, 180 degrees, that you knew you had to investigate.

As you investigated this new perspective, the old north was ever increasing in magnetism to pull you back. All who you spoke to pointed north, but all of the new ideas you had, the books you were drawn to, pointed south.

I am here to tell you to look only from the center, look north, south, east and west. Know north and south, the world view and the spiritual view, in balance.

Daily Tao is a reprint from Ta-Wan's blog, Daily Cup of Tao, which offers one post per day for an entire year. You also can read these posts in an ebook.
