Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.We are taught that strength and power rule, but as both of the passages above indicate, there is much to be said for softness, weakness and flexibility. Strength/power tends not to bend and so it easily breaks. Softness gives way and has the ability to spring back.
