Tao Bible - Matthew 5:11

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Approach the universe with Tao,

And evil is not powerful,

But its power will not be used to harm others.

Not only will it do no harm to others,

But the sage himself will also be protected.

~ from Verse 60 of the Tao Te Ching ~

Virtuous individuals can never be harmed. This is not to say that the virtuous are never abused or persecuted, but, in seeing the oneness of the cosmos, their virtue remains intact and unscathed.
