Killing Pride

Ta-Wan

We all get a day off work today in Australia. The day is really for the benefit of those who've survived war and to remember those who've died, but for everyone it's a day off work.

Around me then are plenty of people who I wouldn't share this particular thought with: That war is where we kill other people and as people are people, and so the same as one another, what we are really doing is killing someone for the ideas they have. Isn't though the problematic idea at the root of all this the idea that we should kill other people at all? Were it not for that idea then all of the related mischief, of running off and killing people for the ideas they hold, would never have occurred. Therefore, I have to conclude, they're the problem.
