There are those who work hard to become rich, others work to become happy, and some work to become free. Everyone is aiming for a goal. But will they be contented when they have reached it? No, for then they strive for a new goal. The rich want to be richer, the happy try to be happier, and the free struggle to find greater freedom.Human life is all about struggle. We struggle to obtain what we desire and we struggle to ward off or lessen that which we do not desire. As Chen points out, when we obtain that which we want, we struggle to obtain more. When we are able to ward off or lessen that which we do not want, we must struggle to keep it at bay.

Few are those that accept what they have for what it is and don't waste the time and energy of wanting more or less. Those few are the ones we call sages.
I love how this story illustrates the point... taowow.blogspot.com.au/2009/01/story-of-fisherman.html
