This passage -- not surprisingly -- merely is pointing out that we need to utilize appropriate strategies to get things accomplished. Use the wrong tool or adopt the wrong tact and, regardless of a person's good intentions, things are bound to go haywire!!

Rather than beat this point to death, I invite readers to come up with their own unique lines to share in the comments section which embody the thought in the sentence above.
