We meat again

Ta-Wan

A man has a smallholding and goes outside, selects, kills and hangs one of the animals. Later it is prepared as food.

A lion leaps, the prey is taken and soon that becomes food.

Neither of these cases are particularly strange or wrong.

Imagine a lion who made herself a small container and kept several zebra in there, injecting the zebra with hormones and antibiotics. Imagine also that to make room for the container the lion had also chopped down a number of trees.

This situation would be seen as quite strange to most (even bypassing our doubt that a lion could achieve this).

Now, if a human did the same as the above example but with an animal it wished to eat - that's normal!

As strange as it seems, this may be the nature of both. The lion hunts, man manipulates and by virtue, has time for other things, such as philosophizing on ways to do it more healthily.

  1. Reminds me Zuanghzi's stories... each being has its own relative truth... the giant bird as well as the little quail...
