~ Gia-fu Feng and Jane English translation, published by Vintage Books, 1989 ~

Due to the optimum of harmony
~ Derek Lin translation, from Tao Te Ching: Annotated & Explained, published by SkyLight Paths, 2006 ~

That's because he's at one with his world.
~ Ron Hogan rendition, from Beatrice.com, 2004 ~
Why do babies cry? Sometimes it's because they need something. Sometimes it's because they want something. Sometimes it's because they feel discomfort. Sometimes they just want to be held. And sometimes they do it just for the hell of it -- to hear their own voice.

Unlike adults, they don't check the social wind and temperature to see if it's an opportune time. They don't agonize over how others may view them for their behavior. They don't worry how their bawling might impact their social standing or financial position.

When the urge hits them, they simply open their mouths and WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
