Tao Bible - Jeremiah 14:10

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
~ King James version ~

I will walk on the main road and my only fear
will be of straying from it.
Keeping to the main road is easy,
But people love to be sidetracked.
~ from Verse 53 of the Tao Te Ching ~
Both passages indicate that we each have trouble keeping to the middle path. The difference in the two is that, according to Christianity, God judges us for our sidetracking ways, while for the Taoist, Tao doesn't care. We punish ourselves when we stray from the path of virtue.
