Recognitivenlightenment

Ta-Wan

At school, that point that just passed you by. In that document in the past, or book, or theory, or documentary you watched recently, or that conversation or even in one of your own thoughts, that bit that didn't quite stick. When you were learning a language or computer program or method, that thing you could kind of get but never recall on cue.

We have all had those things which don't quite stick or give us a little trouble learning. The kind of thing that is a bit blurry, we'd like to grasp it but we're too busy or tied up in the other details to grasp this one quite yet.

This must occur so much also when we delve into the works of people of Tao, Buddhas and sages.

Years later we may often be looking at something new and then that little thing we could never grasp in the past suddenly snaps into place, it turns out we knew it all along but it had nothing to bind to so floated alone. Now on seeing something new that past sticking block becomes a step to higher understanding.

I'm sure this can be the case with even the most obscure spiritual concepts too. They may seem very mysterious, lofty and empty of true value and then one day, click! The light is on.
