There are many places in the Bible in which he says, "If you will do this, this, and this, I will do that." Tao is not a deal maker. Tao simply is and each of us gets to decide if we want to embrace the Way or not. Embracing the Way does not mean that there will be no challenges or pain in life. All it means is that we will be better equipped to deal with what life dishes out.
