nourishes them,

It is this mysterious process that undergirds anything and everything that exists. Without it, there would be nothing beyond nothing.

So, as I see it, it is the mysterious process -- what some call Tao -- that nurtures existence into being.

  1. This is actually about Te...we are in the Te part of the Tao Te Ching here.Tao gives birth to all things, Te (the Tao contained in things) nourishes them. The following lines are about the characteristics of Te.
