Afternoon Matinee: If Heaven Really Existed

  1. Just because you believe something exists doesn't mean you know it exists. Thats why you call it a belief (an opinion) and not a fact. Unlike the video, just because I accept the inevitability of my fate does not mean I am willing to embrace it. I believe heaven exists but I don't know it exists. Therefore I don't know for sure whats going to happen to me when I die. So Im going to live my life as long as possible, just incase there is nothing on the other side.

If we knew heaven existed then people would be praying for death, which in turn defeats the purpose of life.

You don't have to believe in heaven, it doesn't matter. We all meet the same fate when we die. That fate could be a heaven or hell, or it could be nothingness.

Sometimes I think Im actually Agnostic or at least Semi-Agnostic. Although I disagree with Atheists beliefs, I do see their points. But its not enough to prove to me that there is no God. (And no, that is not a challenge. Just let me believe what I want to believe. And you believe what you want to believe)

  3. I don't understand the last part of your comment. There is no way definitively to prove OR disprove the existence of a god. Few atheists I know will say that there is proof that god doesn't exist. What most will tell you is that they see no plausible reason to believe that one exists.
