They Don't Give a Diddly Squat

Have you noticed that since the Occupy Wall Street movement got underway in earnest that the stock market has gone way up? Over the past 3 weeks, the Index Value has increased by over 1,000 points (though, at the time I'm writing this, the market is down today by around 100 points).

Not being an economist, I really don't understand much about the stock market...nor do I usually care. I am simply noting this happenstance because it would seem that what is happening out in the streets is being abjectly ignored by the folks at the stock exchange. They continue to play their games with numbers. Sort of like Nero fiddling, while Rome burns.
