Tao Bible - Isaiah 40:4

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
~ King James version ~

Yield and overcome;
Bend and be straight;
Empty and be full;
Wear out and be new;
Have little and gain;
Have much and be confused.
~ from Verse 22 of the Tao Te Ching ~
Notice the difference in how opposites are portrayed. In the Christian version, opposites are seen as distinct and God will (magically) change their relation to each other. For Lao Tzu, opposites go together and compliment each other in a seemingly paradoxical manner.

  1. I dunno...you could interpret the Isaiah as yin/yang changing. I mean, yin and yang are always fluctuating.
