Tao Bible - Isaiah 40:21-22

Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.
~ King James version ~

The nameless is the beginning of heaven and Earth.
The named is the mother of the ten thousand things.
~ from Verse 1 of the Tao Te Ching ~
Both passages point to "something" being "out there." There is something that causes existence to be existence and life to be life.

For Christians, that something is a distinct entity, a He who loves and cares for all.

For Taoists, that something is an indistinct process or principle. Tao is impartial and "relates" to everything in an egalitarian manner.
