Tao Bible - Isaiah 2:4

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
~ King James version ~

When the Tao is present in the universe,
The horses haul manure.
When the Tao is absent from the universe,
War horses are bred outside the city.
~ from Verse 46 of the Tao Te Ching ~
These verses say much the same thing as both point to the folly of war. For me, the main difference in emphasis is that, for the former, the ending of hostilities will be brought about by a deity, while, for the latter, it is entirely within the purview of humanity.
