Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!We are each responsible for our own conduct, but a nation's or society's leaders exert an impact as well. If the leaders direct the people down the wrong path, the weak and gullible will follow their directions. It takes a strong individual -- one of Supreme Virtue -- not to allow external forces to knock you from the path of Tao.
