Tao Bible - Proverbs 22:3

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
~ King James version ~

Peace is easily maintained;
Trouble is easily overcome before it starts.
~ from Verse 64 of the Tao Te Ching ~
More often than not, we find ourselves in hot water because we aren't paying attention to the steps we take. Our gaze is fixated on a distant horizon and not on the present situation. And so, small obstacles or tiny problems swallow us up by the time we notice them.

When we pay better attention to the here and now, we are far more able to keep small problems from blowing up into big ones!
