For the Taoist (at least this one), there is no outside entity keeping score and handing out prizes! It has far more to do with the type of energy (qi) we allow to flow through us.

If we become a repository for negative energy, then that is the type of energy that will be attracted to us. If we become a repository for positive energy, then that is the type of energy that will be attracted to us.
We have a choice!

This sounds more like you're talking about feng shui...problems with qi are usually blockages, and one works to balance negative and positive qi (yin and yang) in the body, one doesn't choose to attract one and repel the other. "What goes around, comes around" is about cycles, and karma, really, not qi.
