There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.Here is one of those points in which philosophical Taoism is quite different than Christianity. The latter posits a definite afterlife, while Taoists tend to say that nobody knows whether one exists or not.

As a Taoist, what I do know from observations and experience is that all beings live and die. It doesn't matter how each being lives -- whether viewed as "good," "bad" or mixed -- we each will die at some point.
