Tao Bible - Psalm 107:6

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
~ King James version ~

Deliver yourself.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
The writer touches on a frequent theme found throughout the Old Testament. People are suffering and so they cry out to God and he relieves their burdens.

Since most of the misery we each suffer from is self-induced, we don't need to look to anyone else to relieve the pain.
