Tao Bible - Job 14:1-4

Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not. And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee? Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
~ King James version ~

In our natural state at birth, like Tao, we do not yet know goodness or evil.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
In his own way, Job is restating the early Jewish notion that humankind is flawed (fallen) from the start and we can never redeem ourselves.

At birth, none of us know anything of valuation. Like Tao, we simply ride the flow of life where it takes us. As we begin the process of socialization, we move away from our own internal nature.
