Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.God burns the sacrifices laid before him, so he can smell that heavenly scent!

Tao has no need for sacrifices.

There is nothing we can give Tao as Tao is of everything. If we want to embrace Tao in our lives, then we must embrace ourselves and all of creation.
