Tao is not in the punishment business. We punish ourselves when we allow our unquenchable desires to direct the manner in which we live our lives.

    Almost sounds like Karma, the corrupted, popular version of it anyways. Probably happens in every culture, to see things that way.

    But I do find it funny, that the reason for war was that the Jews had sinned, rather than the Egyptians were power hungry and about to conquer their client state of Judea and or Israel for better control of the region and its wealth. Duh.

    No, instead, it's "you sinners deserve this attack, so suck on it. Grovel and feel bad while I, the holy voice of god, guilt trip you into believing what I say is God's will. REPENT!"
