Tao Bible - 1 Chronciles 17:8

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
~ King James version ~

Tao exalts no one.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
In recounting all that he has done for King David, God states he has exalted him to be one of the greats of the kingdom of Israel.

Tao is the quintessential example of humility. Tao occupies the low places and works "behind the scenes." To be more like Tao, we too must not strive to make a name for ourselves, but to serve humanity and the cosmos humbly and without fanfare.
