Tao Bible - Numbers 33:53

And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
~ King James version ~

The cosmos belongs to all. Humankind sets down borders.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
God tells the people of Israel that the land of Canaan is their "promised land".

Marked out territory -- replete with imaginary boundaries -- are a human construct. If everything is but a manifestation of the One, how can one group of entities possess that which belongs to all?

  1. Your Taoist philosophy comes over most strongly when you lay it up against the Roman law book.

  2. Whoops you're not up to the Roman Law book yet (bibble book part2 the revenge of the Sith God) Still on the Jewish law book, but still, point stands.

  3. Trey, I disagree with you on this analysis. Most animals are very territorial. What makes humans different are abstracts such as religion or politics.

  4. Gerard,
It wasn't the best written post of this series. Yes, animals can be very territorial, but theirs is based on the need of survival. We do it almost solely based on desire, not need.
